Worship Services

You are invited to join us for our
Worship Celebration
every Sunday morning at 10 a.m.

Worship services are held at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday morning.  The purpose of this time is collectively to honor God in a variety of ways.  We seek to glorify and magnify Him through our contemporary style of praise music.  We desire to remember what God has done in each one of our lives by celebrating communion.  Also, we want to learn more about God and His principles through Biblically-based teaching.

Each week we anticipate meeting God at this house of worship.  We are excited to see how His Holy Spirit will lead, and we are eager for all to learn more about Jesus Christ and the wonderful purpose He has for our lives.

Music is an instrument of teaching and encouragement for Christian living, as well as an expression of gratitude to God for our salvation. Our music expresses all three aspects, covers old and new material, fast and slow songs, and is coordinated with the teaching theme of Pastor Dick Worthington's message.

Communion is a word that comes from "to have in common." Communion is celebrated that we may remember Christ's sacrificed body on the cross which we have "in common" with other believers. Jesus said "I am the Bread of Life," which is depicted by the bread in communion. This bread symbolizes Jesus' broken body on the cross. He is the Christian's substance and example for life. The juice is from the grape, and depicts the blood of Christ, which He shed in our place for our sins, and which covers man from the judgment of God. Other churches remember this act at different times throughout the year. We choose to remember it weekly, not as a routine or an obligation, but for inspiration and with gratitude.

Offering/Collection: The means by which money is given varies from church to church. At Stonecreek, we incorporate it into the weekly service as a constant reminder of what God has done for us, and a way to show him our deep gratitude.  Giving throughout the Bible required the faithful to take the first 10th of their crop, livestock, or earnings, and offer it to Him. These monies are used to reach the lost, disciple, teach and shepherd those who know him, and to care for those in need. Guests at Stonecreek are not obligated to participate.

The Message for Today is a sermon that Pastor Dick Worthington prepares each week through prayer and careful study. It is the pastor's desire to share and to teach, as clearly as possible, the powerful and life-changing word of God.

The Invitation: Since we believe that God's word is powerful and life-changing, we believe we need to offer the opportunity for people to respond to God's call in their lives. Therefore, at the close of each sermon, Pastor Dick Worthington offers that opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as LORD and SAVIOR. It is also a time for anyone wishing to place membership at Stonecreek to come forward and do that, if already a part of God's family.

Stonecreek's Core Purpose:

We exist to accomplish something greater collectively
than can be done individually, that is...
"To change the face of society and heaven
one convert at a time."
